Lauren earned her bachelor’s degree from UW-Eau Claire and her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the UW-Stevens Point. Lauren began her career at CI in Madison, WI, but she relocated to central Wisconsin where she gained additional experience within a school district before helping open the Wausau location. She has been with CI for over 10 years and enjoys meeting, working, and learning from new and seasoned families alike! She is passionate about child and family-centered care in addition to using a neuroaffirming approach. She believes it’s pivotal to put the “fun” in functional. Lauren has a special interest for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and working with children with complex care needs. She is trained in the Get Permission approach to feeding, PODD, PROMPT, a portion of DIR Floortime therapy, and is working through fromal training in gestalt language processing (GLP). Apart from spending her days at CI, she stays busy at home and outside with her husband and 3 children!
